Today we’re heading towards Gràcia, and more specifically, to carrer Torrent de l’Olla. Are you a fan of sushi, maki and other small Japanese dishes? Then you will surely love this address!
This is a staple meeting point for the workers of the corner, as this very popular restaurant does in fact offer an “all you can eat” lunch buffet for 10 Euros (additional beverage mandatory). Stop! Don’t run away, we promise it’s really worth a try and you won’t leave with a burger craving, or with a sour stomach!
First and most, our recommendation is to arrive at the restaurant a little before 13h30, the opening hour. You’ll see that there are plenty of people, so if you don’t want to wait for hours, be on time!
Secondly, you’ll have the option of dining by the revolving table and pick according to your taste and appetite. Generally, that’s perfect for two people. The tray is plentiful and it offers a wide variety of dishes.
You’ll be able to choose from all kinds of sushi, maki and other little Japanese or Chinese delicacies. You can also sit at a table, where a waiter will bring you all the available dishes, or else you can tell your waiter which ones you prefer.
The makis are pretty and really nice, with unique dips and sauces! These aren’t your typical makis filled with fish and a side or wasabi, you’ll see! There’s even a banana one, you have been warned! You will of course also be able to eat plain sushis, chicken skewers, fried rice, noodles, fried vegetables…
The ambience is basically friendly, although a little dark. There’s no direct light. The success of this restaurant means it’s more or less always crowded, but still you don’t have to wait for too long, as the service is quite swift.
For a more relaxed, less stuffy ambience, you can also go in the evening, but please note the dinner buffet cost 15 Euros.
Good to know:
