If you have decided to dine out around the Born quarter, it’s absolutely mandatory that at the end of your meal you refrain from ordering any dessert.
You say whaaat? Wait a second, all of you gourmands hold your anger, it’s all for a good cause. Go ahead and ask for the check. Stretch your legs a little bit. Start digesting and aim your steps towards Bubó. You’ll thank us later!
Bubó is a chain of confectionery shops created by Carles Mampel. The very first shop has opened its doors at the Born district. It’s precisely there where we would like to invite you.
The Bubó of the Born is a tiny shop chock full of desserts, each and every one more appetizing and delicious than the previous one. You’ll be able to choose if you want to take your order away to enjoy your little treasures under the moon light, or else taste them directly at the shop (careful, you are under serious risk of helping yourself to seconds, don’t say we didn’t warn you!)
The confectionery shops of this chain have had such success, that a shop has opened its doors recently in Kuwait! Don’t be jealous. We’re completely sure that sooner or later they’ll arrive to your home country.
You’ll be able to sample fruit or chocolate terrines.
Cute little pastries
They also have chocolates and most of all, macarons! The selection is impressive. For just 10 Euro you’ll be able to take a box of 8 home. The prices are very affordable, we simply don’t want to imagine how much this kind of confectionery would cost in another country.
For special occasions, you’ll also be able to choose the pastry you like the most and have it made in a bigger size. Simply great to share with friends or family!
The great news about all this? Bubó offers recipes. Make sure to check everything about it at their blog.
If you don’t have much of a sweet tooth, don’t worry at all. Just next you’ll find a savory version of Bubó!
Did we convince you already?!
