When you travel with children, it’s not always easy to find a place to eat or have a drink with them. The space is too tight, there’s no room for the stroller, no diaper changing table or adapted menu… Short, the whole planning can become a major headache.
And then, there’s the Bar del Convent, a friendly, pleasant space for children and adults alike. You’ll be able to taste small dishes or appetizers, or simply have a drink or taste something. The proposed dishes are quite simple, but really succulent. You’ll be able to eat different quiches and other pies, small sandwiches and pasties, everything children love!
In their offer of sweets, you’ll find muffins and other pastries with fruits or chocolate. The space is ample enough to fit a squad of strollers. The little ones will be able to run around almost everywhere and most of all, MOST OF ALL, there’s a small playground at their disposal. Yes, you heard that right, with a little luck, you’ll be able to eat at ease, without your children wrapped around your legs!
We like
The premises are huge, and despite the rush hour, there’s not too much noise or people.
There’s a diaper changing table at your disposal in the toilets.
The dishes are delicious.
The ingredients are organic and they have some vegetarian and vegan dishes.
The bar isn’t facing the street, just behind you will find the pretty square of Sant Agustí, about which we have recently talked to you. Thus, you can sit outside, if the weather is good.
The bar offers concerts and exhibitions on a regular basis.
We like less
Despite the delicious dishes offered, there’s not much to choose from.
The playground is located just at the entrance of the bar, it would have been much more practical to place it at the end, or in the middle of the room.
The entrance doors are a bit scary, the enclosure for children doesn’t seem to close very safely, so it’s important to keep an eye on them!
There are really no games available.
Open Tuesday to Saturday. From Tuesday to Thursday, it’s open from 10h to 21h, and to 22h on Fridays and Saturdays.
