At the heart of the city we are often afraid to land in overly priced restaurants, or else “tourist catchers”, which will undoubtedly feed you frozen meals – or not really good ones.
We look around the city, study the menus and then, quite tired after so much walking and craving a place to finally rest, we usually tend to take the first restaurant that crosses our way.
If there’s something we really don’t recommend, that’s the restaurants that line the Rambla. They are all over -priced, and you may expect your paellas to be previously prepared, unfrozen bland meals. Just walk by them!
Today we’re taking you to the Rita Rouge !
This restaurant/bar is located in a street that is perpendicular to the Rambla. It offers an ample
choice of original, rich dishes at quite affordable prices. There’s something for every taste, and that’s actually the coolest thing! You’ll be easily able to taste a Thai dish, next to a great plate of fajitas… or even a great paella! It may sound scary, all
these different dishes, but rest completely assured: we have tasted them all and we happily give you the go ahead!
This bar has two venues. The Rita Rouge and the B-Rita (specialized in craft beers).
In both cases, you’ll be able to eat your meat in the outside terrace, or else inside the venue. If you have children, there’s a playground just next by. Perfect for eating at ease while watching your kids play. Everybody’s happy this way!
The Rita Rouge offers a large choice of cocktails. You’ll even be able to pick them directly on your placemat!
And yet, this restaurant is located at the heart of the city! It has enormous success. You may
make your reservation directly at their site. People come to have lunch, dinner, or just have a glass of bier.
The district is very pleasant, so once you have recovered your forces, you’ll be able to simply continue your stroll just where you left it!
Bon appetite!
